  1. Be able to create a video channel programmatically

we have a built a Site Provisioning tool but this falls short of provisioning a video channel. It would be amazing if we could programmatically create a video channel (post site collection provisioning) either in C# CSOM or PowerShell or both ;-)

  2. Resolve SharePoint embed issue - video is not able to display captions / subtitles

When embedding a video in O365 SharePoint, the embedded video is missing the control for enable captions / subtitles. That feature is working fine in Video Portal videos page (PointPublishing.aspx)

  4. Comment Videos with SharePoint Newsfeed

Add the possibility to add comments and likes to a video, if the Tenent is configured with SharePoint newsfeed settings.

  5. Comment with Microsoft account

    Hi,

What about being able to comment with your Microsoft (Hotmail/Outlook) account instead of Yammer?

Available only if you make the video sharing a free service like youtube see - https://office365video.uservoice.com/forums/273864-general/suggestions/6737053-free-service

  6. Have Office Video Mobile Application for Windows Phone

In one hand we have Mobile Application made for Smartphone (based on Marketshare), in other hand we have Windows Phone that working well in Enterprise Environement, but not having Mobile Application because just representing few % of Mobile Market share.

We would like to promote Office Video and ensure employee have it inn their pocket (ie. like Delve, like PowerBI)

  7. Support for Audio Only Files + Teams Playback

I'd like to see support added for audio only files such as mp3. I've been able to get around this limitation by using ffmpeg to combine an image with the video to create a mp4 file. While this works great, it is not possible to expect our staff members to learn how to do this.

Additionally, as an education institute, the ability to have an online catalog of audio files which may be lectures, audio books, events, dictations, etc. would be incredibly valuable.

Lastly, I'd like to see Teams support the playback of the audio files if support is added…

  8. Add channel owner by default

    Hello team,

I wanted to know how can we add our DL as a default channel owner into the channel settings of O365 videos. But got a response from Microsoft that this is not in their road map as of now. At the moment people are creating the channels and later being the support team we have been questioned to perform amendments.

But as those channels were not created by us as a result we can not perform any changes on them. So, please add this feature going forward as we are really struggling to find a resolution for this.

  10. Generate a thumbnail from initial frame, not only from pre-set points within video

It would be good if the generated thumbnails included one which is from the first frame of the video. Because the first frame isnt included as a possible thumbnail, a separate thumbnail image is almost always required to be uploaded.

  11. video default display

videos be displayed in a list view with video full name and detail description on the right side plus some kind of comments section for feedback which can integrate with yammer. This will help user to find the right video and also if it can be a long scroll then the browser search function maybe used to search a keyword instead of the inbuilt search for faster response

  12. See who uploaded and modified videos

I would like to see information regarding the videos such as who uploaded a video and when. Also when someone deleted a video.

  13. Allow specifying a "Published/created" date on videos

We are moving a lot of our previously generated video content from SharePoint document libraries into Stream.

We need to be able to set some sort of time stamp in the videos to when they were originally published/created. Today all uploaded videos only display a "Uploaded at ..." timestamp.

Enabling us to specify a "Published/created" timestamp on the videos (and make it searchable) will allow us for much better discovery on our library of content.

  14. SharePoint online guides and better search functionalities

Hi. Here's a few idead from Radiometer
    1) SharePoint Online training vidoes
    - The videos are great. We'd really appreciate training vidoes on SharePoint Online. This is likely to be the place which will tie all other Office 365 apps together, and we'll use it to e.g. replace BOX. Can you make some basic intro videoes?
    2) Search functionality on the site to find the app you want to train fast and easy
    - It would be great if there was e.g. a drop down search function where I could select the app I'm interested in. If such a search…

  16. stop autoplay

it would be good to not have the videos autoplay on page load, as this biases the video analytics.

  18. Recovery of a deleted channel (safety net)

When you delete a channel, there is no way to recover that channel and the videos within that channel. Though the user is prompted to ensure they know what they are doing - there is no safety net if the user makes a mistake or does not realize all those videos are gone for good.

  19. download video

Create a video about Office 365 Video which can be downloaded and posted in an Office 365 Video portal.

For example, this Youtube video is great - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uXsJ_9lQubc, but I cannot download it and post and spotlight it on our Video portal. Alternatively, allow embed from the main video portal page.

  20. Semi Private Content

At the moment ( we have the same problem in Sharepoint, we either can share anonymously on a per file basis, or with users that have identified live Accounts. the New Security of Live Accounts (or O365 Accounts) doesn't allow to create one live account or office 365 and share it with a group of people (if they are in different countries the account requests confirmations or is blocked). this would be great for example if we have videos of a congress and want all members to view them but not having to identify each person individually. We have the…
