Allow External Sharing
Please allow external sharing as with other site collections - what else are we going to do with all the training material we have prepared for our users..

Subchannels or Subfolders to Better Organize Video Collections
We noticed that the videos can be organized by channel. We believe that as more videos are added, they will need to be organized better. Rather than adding additional channels, being able to create folders within a channel would be nice. If channels are designed to separate teams or projects, subchannels (folders) would be great.
Thanks.

Viewer analytics and reporting
When thinking about using Office 365 Video to deliver videos that are used for Continuing Legal Education (CLE) credit where consumption of material must be tracked it would be great to have analytics/reports that show:
- Who consumed the content
- When it was consumed
- How much of it was consumed
- That none of it was skipped or FF'd.1,004 votesThanks for everyone who voted and helped us with validating scenarios. Sorry if we didn’t get a chance to engage with you at a later stage.
We shipped the first version which has view counts, visitor counts, and drop-off charts per video.
We don’t have a clear start date on next phase of improvements yet. Thanks for your patience.

Allow custom metadata fields
I had been following this service very closely since release at SharePoint Conference 2014. I was very disappointed to read (http://www.itunity.com/article/office-365-video-first-release-696) that the first release would not support custom metadata fields (all field types, including managed metadata). Our company was/is looking at o365 and this is one of the drivers. Unfortunately no custom metadata makes this a no-go for us.

support live streaming
instead of uploading recorded videow, any plan to support live video?
831 votesThanks for the feedback. We are interested to know more. Could anyone vote for this feature helps to elaborate more on scenarios of live streaming?

Ability to move videos between channels
Here is a scenario we have faced:
After we upload a series video to a channel, we realized that the channel is redundant. We want to move all or some of the videos and all of their metadata and their yammer conversations to a different channel.
Is there an easy way to move videos between channels?

Automatic Closed Captioning by Azure Media Indexer and Microsoft Translator
[CC] by automatic video content to Text.
For search keywords, For translate other languages.
Speech to text for subtitles and closed captioning.473 votesWe are working on the very first version of the solution and close to push to customers: https://office365video.uservoice.com/forums/273864-o365-video-feedback/suggestions/6767424-upload-your-own-closed-captions
We’ve updated the status on the above specific ask, and will update it when it rolls out to prod.
We don’t have a concrete plan on starting on the automatic caption from Azure Media Indexer. More details to come. Thanks for your patience.

Learning Management System Integration
If this is going to be used for Educational institutions, linking with learning management system providers is a must. This way these tools can manage access and security that is in line with institutional policy such as course licensing, copyright and student privacy within the course framework.

Playlists
Support for adding video to and sharing of playlists to organize a series of related and ordered videos together.
Examples:
Add all videos on a specific training topic to a playlist.
For a flipped classroom, add all the videos to be watched for a specific lesson to a playlist.358 votes -
Ability to sort and filter videos within a channel
A simple SORT ascending / descending function would help to deliver training videos in logical order, we call this a “learning path”. Off course the title has the video number in it like: "0080 Create Formulas in a Worksheet" "0081 The Sum Function." The ultimate solution would be to have a field that says "sort" or “rank in number order” then add a button "Play the next video in order".

Automatically publish recorded Lync sessions
Lync can record content and save it to a local video file. I would be great if that workflow was streamlined to easily push that video into Office 365 video. It would be even better if the meeting invite included a link that points to the eventual URL of that video so if I miss a meeting, I know where to go watch it.

Support embedding from other sources
Allow for embedding videos from other sources like YouTube and Vimeo into the channel. There are thousands of great training videos available through these services that could easily be added into new or existing channels. Or, if you find a great news video about your company or industry, you could embed that into a channel and share it out via Yammer.
223 votesWe don’t support embedding videos from other sources to video portal yet. As a work around, you could embed videos to a SharePoint page as a way to collect a list of videos for distribution. Will that be a sufficient workaround before we fully implement embedding other videos into the video portal?

Speed controls available in playback
Provide the ability to playback videos at 1.5x and 2x original speed.
This functionality has allowed me to consume videos via other sharing services in a far more efficient manner (approximately 150% to 200% :) )

Discoverable and Easy to Remember URLs
Accessing the main page requires a lot of thinking.
I want to be able to type video.mycompany.com, not https://mycompany.sharepoint.com/portals/hub/_layouts/15/PointPublishing.aspx?app=video&p=h.

Video "time marks" so that people could tag specific segments and discuss via Yammer
I believe that YouTube and many others have this kind of feature rather than to say "scrub to MIN:SEC in the timeline.

Higher Resolution for Video Playack
Current play-back resolution is limited to 720p. Please increase this limit to include the original file quality (1080p, 4k, etc).
Example: Playback of a how-to training video captured on a 1920x1080 screen renders the necessary details illegible because of small text within the video.
